Jovenel Moise helps the UN in the fight against violence

The President of Haiti, Jovenel Moise, congratulated this March on the Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, on the collaboration of the body in the case that the security forces are developing against crime and violence that suffers the country.

“The path to the ONU technical and logistical support for the PNH (National Police of Haiti), with the end to combat the banditry in Haiti and to abandon the poverty reduction program”, reads the text.

This petition is for the sole purpose of appealing to the Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OEA), Luis Almagro, to announce a series of mediations to combat the phenomenon of violence.

Under these provisions, a decree of revision of the State of Emergency Law given to the Higher Council of the National Police (CSPN) by the media for combating gangs and delinquency, and empowering the competent authorities to mobilize any external support for the compliment of his mission.

These petitions to the UNU and the OEA are being produced after the deaths of four members of the National Police in the Village-de-Dieu district, but also hereditary agents and agents.
