Josh Hawley’s wife describes being alone with the baby during protests outside the family home: ‘I heard screams’

The wife of Senator Josh Hawley, R-Mo., Set out a terrifying protest that was staged on the night of Jan. 4 outside the couple’s home in Virginia.

Erin Hawley, a lawyer, told ‘Hannity’ she was at home with her seven-week-old daughter when she heard ‘angry voices’ outside. The senator and the couple’s two sons were back in Missouri at the time.

“I came down the stairs and saw about 20 protesters standing outside our house,” Hawley told host Sean Hannity. “They screamed with bull horns. I went outside with our baby in my arms and asked them to leave and said we had a new baby – which was obvious – as well as neighbors. They refused.”

After Hawley returned inside, she said, “three gentlemen” slammed her door and shouted in her bull horns to “get out, get out.”

“If my two sons were at home, they would have been terrified and I thank the Lord they were not, but it is not a minor incident to scare families or terrorize children,” Erin Hawley said. said.

“The protesters know this. There are many public spaces in which they can get their message across. The first amendment protects it, but it does not protect people from coming to a family home at night.”

Hawley has filed a criminal complaint against the organizer of a group called ShutdownDC, which was responsible for protesting against the senator’s plans to contest the outcome of the election college.

Hawley said none of her husband’s democratic colleagues had yet made contact with her, but praised her neighbors, who she said belong to ‘all sorts of political beliefs for their kindness and support’.

“There are good people in the world,” she said, “but no Democratic-elected official has called.”
