Jonah Hill takes to Instagram to link body image to Daily Mail photos

The recent photos included side-by-side images of Hill changing shirtless and another in his surf wetsuit.

The ‘Superbad’ actor shared the images on Instagram with a heartfelt caption referring to uncertainty about his body with which he has struggled for years.

“I don’t think I ever took my shirt off in a pool before I was in my mid-30s, not even in front of family and friends,” Hill said on Instagram. “Probably would have happened sooner if my youth safety had not been exacerbated by years of public ridicule about my body by press and interviewers.”

He then made it clear that these kinds of images no longer fascinate him because he has learned to be confident and self-accepting about his appearance.

“I’m 37 and finally like myself and accept it. It’s not a ‘good for me’ post. And it’s definitely not a ‘feel bad for me’ post,” the actor added.

“It’s for the kids who do not take off their shirt by the pool. Enjoy it. You are wonderful and wonderful and perfect.”

And finally, Justin Timberlake added another message of support. “You are a G !!! And my ghost! Love you, brother!”

Hill closed his post by saying, “Oh and Daily Mail, not even you can take that smile off my face;).”
