Jon Stewart is on Twitter, following tens of thousands of followers and choosing his side in the GameStop saga

Former Daily Show presenter Jon Stewart has just joined Twitter – screen name: @jon_actual; followers: 845 800 and counting, fast – and already engaged in controversial ground, setting low expectations and suggesting that he start a path to the presidency.

His very first tweet, posted late Thursday, weighs in at the GameStop GME,

sage, which takes the side of the Reddit users who banded together in an attempt to break the backs of the hedge funds and others who sold the video game vendor short.

Stewart’s second tweet promised that his presence on the social media platform would be sporadic and ineffective, and his third, who nodded for the recording that reached his first tweets, concluded that it was time for him to Oval Office curtains start measuring.

Stewart ended his 16-year career at the Comedy Central anchor in 2015 and has since pleaded for initial reactions from 9/11 and their families, as well as for military veterans and film and TV production with ink, such as HBO and then Apple AAPL,
