During a section on ‘Last Week Tonight with John Oliver’, the comedian laments Carlson’s popularity and influence, noting that Fox News has recently moved to expand its presence through a documentary series and a podcast.

‘And if that’s not enough, Tucker is also being pushed as a potential future presidential candidate, which should be serious. “Because of all the things that Tucker is – a conspiracy theorist, a misogynist, an Islamophobe, a troll – one of the most dangerous is that he is the most prominent vessel in America for white supremacist talk,” Oliver said.

Oliver noted that when Carlson is accused of echoing white nationalism or sympathy, he frequently questions what white nationalism is, and seems to imply that it does not exist.

‘When he tries to define [white nationalism] himself, it tends to be self-servingly narrow, ”Oliver said. “But to the record, white supremacists seem to be big fans of what Tucker did.”

Oliver noted that former white ruler Derek Black, the son of the founder of the neo-Nazi website Stormfront, said his family members are looking to Carlson for tips to advance their cause.

Carlson calls the white supremacy in 2019 a ‘joke’, comparing it to the investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential election, saying it was being used to divide the country.

“It’s a joke, just like the Russian joke,” Carlson said during part of his program. “It’s a conspiracy theory used to divide the country and hold on to power.”

Lawmakers and military leaders shot back Carlson’s remarks.

Happy International Women’s Day everyone later except for Tucker, who even I can dance better than,” Duckworth, a former fighter pilot in the Iraq war, who lost both legs after her helicopter was turned off, added.

The Hill asked Fox News for comment on Oliver’s comments.
