Joe Biden’s work approval rises following Stimulus Win, 100 million vaccines distributed

President Joe Biden’s job approval went up in three different polls on Friday following his victory in stimulus negotiations and distribution of 100 million COVID-19 vaccines.

In one poll conducted by Reuters / Ipsos, 59 percent of voters said they approved of Biden’s handling of his presidency, while 35 percent said they did not approve. The approval rate of 59 percent is an increase of 5 percent over the previous week, as 54 percent said they approve of his position as president.

The Reuters / Ipsos poll polled 1,005 Americans from March 17 to 18 and reported a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.

In another poll conducted by Global Strategies Group / GBAO Strategies, it was found that Biden’s work approval increased by 3 percent compared to earlier this month. According to the poll, Biden received an approval rate of 56 percent, with 33 percent approving and 23 percent approving somewhat. In the third poll, conducted by The Hill / HarrisX, it was found that Biden’s approval had risen by just 1 per cent earlier this month. According to the poll, 59 percent said they approve of Biden’s position as president, while 41 percent do not.

The increase in Biden’s approval rating in the three polls comes shortly after he signed his $ 1.9 billion US bailout package and approved the 100 million vaccine target more than a month before his 100th day in office.

On March 11, he signed the COVID-19 Financial Relief Bill, which entitles Americans to direct stimulus checks of $ 1,400, $ 350 billion in aid to state and local governments and $ 130 billion in funding to help schools to reopen safely.

“This historic piece of legislation is about rebuilding the backbone of this country and giving people in this country, working people, middle class people, people who built the country a chance,” Biden said before signing the bill. .

On Friday, the U.S. exceeded Biden’s goal of administering 100 million COVID-19 vaccine doses within its first 100 days in office.

In a video posted on Twitter on Thursday night, Biden said: “We are going to reach a very important milestone that I promised: 100 million shots of vaccine in the arms of people.”

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 118 million Americans have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine, while at least 41,934,629 Americans have now been fully vaccinated.
