Jodie Foster raised eyebrows when she thanked Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers during her Golden Globes speech for Best Supporting Actress in ‘The Mauritanian’.
So what was it about?
Foster excitedly explained behind the scenes in the virtual Golden Globes media room about the call to Rodgers, who happened to be engaged to Foster’s “The Mauritanian” coach Shailene Woodley. She might love Rodgers even more than Woodley, which leads to the special exclamation.
And Rodgers thanked Jodie Foster in his acceptance speech for MVP.
“I decided that not only was I a big Packers fan, but that I was also a competitive MVP fan (for) Aaron Rodgers,” joked Foster, who has long been loyal to the Wisconsin soccer team .

Foster denies reports that she introduced Woodley to Rodgers. The actress has never met him. “I did not get Shailene and Aaron on my feet. I have never met Aaron Rodgers,” Foster said.
But she conceded that she was particularly enthusiastic about the quarterback and her team, so it may have played a role in lighting the flames of love.
