If you have never been a fan of pushing small speakers into your ears just to listen to music, you are probably aware of alternative open-ear solutions such as headphone headphones or sunglasses with sound ports. We’ve seen a lot of deals over the years, but it’s never been particularly affordable. JLab is trying to address the angle and is launching its new JBuds Frames with the aim of transforming your existing glasses into sound-integrated glasses.

The open frame frames consist of two independent modules that are glued to the temples of your existing glasses. Instead of using leg conduction technology, the buttons simply hold it with a downward fire speaker designed to pipe music to your ears without leaking sound to nearby people.

Each unit has a 16mm driver, but you should probably not expect to be knocked away by the sound quality; after all, open-ear headphones are meant to keep you from hearing the world around you.

The JBuds Frames have several earpieces to ensure a comfortable fit.

These Bluetooth audio devices are IPX4 rated and can also be used independently. They also have buttons on board that can accept / reject calls, adjust volume and even change the equalizer setting. Finally, they are said to last up to 8 hours on a single charge.

The JBuds Frames cost $ 50 and will go on sale in early spring. At a low price, they seriously interrupted offers like the $ 250 Bose Frames – now we’ll see what sound quality looks like.
