MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell is currently running a 48-hour livestream marathon to promote his new “social media” platform, and when he was not anger erupts at various writers for The Daily Beast, he expressed his disappointment with the late host Jimmy Kimmel.
“Thank you for joining us on one of the least productive days we’ve had here for some time,” Kimmel said at the top of his monologue on Monday night, acknowledging that he is fully “obsessed” with the Trump-loving pillow seller. “You know, a lot of people have said that the CEO of a pillow business can’t start a great social media site successfully – and the people were 100 percent correct.”
“I highly recommend it,” Kimmel said of Lindell’s “yell-a-thon,” adding, “It’s quite a spectacle. If you are tall, I highly recommend it. It’s like the Jerry Lewis phone call when Jerry was on a public access channel and cracked. ‘
From there, the host plays a montage of Lindell who repeatedly complains that he is trying to make a joke out of his big launch event, before claiming to ‘pray’ for him. “Thank you for all the shouts,” Kimmel replied. ‘Do you think he’s really praying for me? Like, honestly, do you think when he said his prayers before prayer, he actually called me? ‘
“What Mike Lindell does not seem to understand is that I am his biggest fan,” Kimmel added. “I have no idea what he’s doing, but I love it.” He even invited Lindell to come in person to his show for an interview in bed surrounded by pillows. “Only Mike and I huddled side by side in a California king, surrounded by bags of goose feathers.”
“How is he going to do it in thirty hours?” Ask Kimmel later. ‘I hope he has a doctor on standby. I looked up some long-term effects of using crack cocaine. Finally, the host shared the most important highlight of the day: when Lindell thought he had brought a direct call from Donald Trump before quickly realizing it was a scam. “Hopefully the right Trump will step in,” Kimmel said. ‘Hopefully a dozen fake Trumps will call and then the real Trump will call in. And by the way, if you come across Mike Lindell and he thinks he has Donald Trump going, go with it! Don’t just crawl your website, milk it! You put the hook, roll him in! ”
Kimmel concludes by wishing Lindell “the best of luck with Delusion-Palooza.”
