On Thursday night, Jimmy Kimmel moved away from his favorite target, coup-complicated Congressman Ted Cruz, and toward Q-aide Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Georgia Republican congressman who subscribes to QAnon – an unfounded, batshit-mad lunatic suggesting that Donald Trump is a messianic figure fighting a cabal of sex trader pedophiles made up of some of the biggest names in Hollywood and the Democratic Party (this despite the fact that Trump fell out with the infamous pedophile Jeffrey Epstein ).
‘RNC chairwoman Ronna McDaniel … tried to distance herself from QAnon’s party. She said it was out of the question and dangerous, “Kimmel explained during his late monologue. “QAnon is so extravagant, in fact, the Republicans in the House have just placed their most beautiful, Q-iest member on the Education and Labor Committee – that’s Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia.”
Then Kimmel introduced his audience to Greene, who had never encountered a bonkers conspiracy theory that she did not like.
‘If you do not know who this person is, I do not want to either. She is the lady who demanded, among other things, Nancy Pelosi’s execution; Asked Joe Biden’s accusation on his first day in office; and she believes our former governor here in California, Jerry Brown, used space lasers to make the wildfires here. She sees the Austin Powers movie and thought it was a documentary, I think, ‘Kimmel cracked.
Greene is also a COVID skeptic who during the storms of the American Capitol refused to wear a mask in a safe, tightly packed room with other members of Congress; believes in Pizzagate, the debilitating theory that Democrats run a sex trade with children under a DC pizza shop; said the election of Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib to Congress represents an “Islamic invasion of our government”; called the neo-Nazi gathering in Charlottesville an ‘interior’; the anti-Semitic conspiracy theory that “Zionist rulers” try to replace whites with migrants; repeatedly questioned the 9/11 attacks; and called the shooting of Christchurch, Sandy Hook and Parkland ‘false flags’. And again, she supported the execution of Democratic leaders.
“Marjorie also calls the horrific shootings ‘false flag operations’, which means that the perpetrators were not who we think they were,” Kimmel offered. “And here she was chasing and harassing a child, not long after he saw his friends being slaughtered at school.”
He then threw a video of Greene dragging David Hogg, a survivor (and teenager) from Parkland School, after which he barked and described himself as a ‘coward’. The video was reportedly taken only a few weeks after the shooting.
“The coward she’s shouted at is a teenager named David Hogg. He is an activist. She referred to him online as ‘Little Hitler’. I wonder how it would go with the crew of Fox News and Ted Cruz if Nancy Pelosi were to ask that Marjorie Taylor Greene be executed and a teenager named Hitler? Do you think they will have something to say? Kimmel asked. ‘Well, it was the other way around, and guess what? Most of them have nothing to say. Instead, they assigned her to the education committee – hoping she would get one? I do not know.”
