Subway – the fast food sandwich chain that is legally allowed to call the sandwiches ‘bread’ an overwhelming majority of countries—He found himself in a new legal / PR swamp this week, when a new lawsuit claimed that the ‘tuna’ in his beloved tune was not. The complaint, filed in Northern California, claims that the ‘tuna’ that flushes out of your delicious sandwich-tuna salad sandwich, rather than a specific species of tasty fish, is a ‘mixture of different non-tuna concoctions. but still mixed. together by accused to mimic the appearance of tuna, ”and, more condemningly, it is claimed that they are“ not fish ” according to comments made by the plaintiffs in the case to The Washington Post.

Subway, of course, denied that the ‘different concoctions’ in his sandwiches are anything other than boiled tuna mixed with mayo, but we’re obviously pretty stuck in the “Let’s the bastards deny it” area. Once someone has raised the possibility that one of your delicious consumption bushes does not contain what you are saying, and the general public is forced to really think about what maybe be in there – the battle for hearts, minds and stomachs is almost lost.

Subway does have at least one defender in its corner: Jessica Simpson, who – in a line that is not only funnier than almost every line of dialogue in a given Jessica Simpson movie ever, but also anything we personally thought of over a year – referred her own notorious problems with identifying tuna with a tweet of solidarity for the sandwich chain.

Absolutely cruel.
