‘Jeopardy’ All-Star Buzzy Cohen hosts the Tournament of Champions in May

Buzzy Cohen will be a couple of Danger!‘s best players to buzz in when he hosts next month’s Champions Tournament.

In deliveries from May 17 to 28, 15 top competitors (listed below) will face the $ 250,000 grand prize, which will be linked to and donated to the Hope of the Valley Trebek Center for the Homeless. (Named after the late Danger! the Trebek Center assists up to 300 people a year with shelter, mental health services, job training and placement, drug abuse counseling and more.)

Cohen first appeared on the quiz in 2016, when he won $ 164,603 in the nine games. He returned in 2017 to win the tournament for champions, and in 2019 he served as a team captain for the All-Star Games of the show. (As he requires host duties to work closely with Jeop!writers and producers, Cohen will no longer be eligible to participate in regular tournaments.)

“Buzzy was where each of these champions are, so it will be comforting for the contestants to see a familiar face behind the chair,” executive producer Mike Richards said in a statement. “We will miss seeing him compete, but we look forward to seeing him use his quick wit and personality as a host.”
