That was the debate on social media after the star of The Morning Show shared a photo over the weekend on her Instagram stories of a Christmas decoration acknowledging the Covid times we live in.
The engraved ornament reads “Our first pandemic 2020.”
Aniston did not include a caption or even determine if the ornament is like her, but people on social media assumed it was and this led some people to accuse the actress of being morbid and offensive to the many people who lost loved ones to Covid. 19.
Still others defended her, saying she only acknowledged what had happened, while some pointed out that she was a strong supporter of wearing a mask and encouraged her millions of followers to go shopping at small businesses to get them to help keep head above water.
Aniston had not yet publicly responded to the setback on Monday, and CNN contacted her representative for comment.
