Jenelle Evans offers more details on why the 11-year-old boy Jace stay with her now and not her mother, Barbara Evans.
After revealing on January 16 on TikTok that Jace ‘now lives with me full time’, Jenelle shared a video with her Youtube on January 17 to explain that the boy’s actions prompted the change of residence.
“Jace came to live with us, you guys! I know, this is exciting news,” the Teen Mon 2 alum shared. “His behavior was not the best at my mother’s house. We gave him many, many, many chances and told him to act better, and my mother, she was fed up.”
Jenelle continued, “And she called me and she said, ‘Yeah, that’s it. He’s behaving again. I do not know how he’s going to do his schoolwork and succeed if he persists.”
The 29-year-old reality star also used the video to clear up recent confusion about Jace’s surveillance situation. On January 17, Barbara told TMZ that she actually still had supervision, and that Jenelle admitted to Barbara that she had mispronounced TikTok when she said otherwise.

“Let me explain,” Jenelle said in the YouTube recording. “My mother and I shared the supervision until we went to court and changed the paperwork. But now Jace lives with me full time. And that’s because of his behavior, and my mother can no longer handle it.”
Jenelle pointed out that she had informed Jace that she would be sharing this update with her fans, and he approved it.
“Yeah, Jace knows I’m posting this, and we discussed it,” the mother of three added. “And he said, ‘It’s good if you tell people that. Please do not go into detail.’ And I respect that. ‘
