‘Jeepers Creepers: Reborn’ will be released in 2021

The Creeper is back looking for blood.

‘Jeepers Creepers: Reborn’, the fourth installment in the long-term horror franchise, has sold worldwide distribution rights to Screen Media.

The studio plans to release the film in the fall of 2021 in North America. Screen Media previously released ‘Jeepers Creepers 3’.

The latest installment in the series is from director Timo Vuorensola, who previously oversaw the “Iron Sky” films. It’s part of the planned new trilogy. The film was written by Sean Michael Argo (“Iconoclast”), and produced by Jake Seal (“Quantum of Solace”) from Orwo Studios & Black Hangar Studios and Michael Ohoven (“The Devil’s Rejects”) from Infinity Films.

Seth Needle, Screen Media’s SVP of global acquisitions and co-productions, is executive producer on behalf of the company.

Here’s the logline: “The movie unfolds as the Horror Hound Festival holds its first ever event in Louisiana, where it attracts hundreds of geeks, freaks and stubborn horror fans from far and wide. Among them are fanboy Chase and his girlfriend Laine, who are forced to ride together for the ride. But as the event approaches, Laine begins to experience inexplicable premonitions and disturbing visions related to the city’s past, and especially the local legend / urban myth The Creeper. As the festival dawns and the bloodthirsty entertainment builds to madness, Laine believes that something unearthly has been summoned … and that she is the center of it. ”

“Jeepers Creepers: Reborn” was shot in December and January at Orwo Studios & Black Hangar Studios and on location in Jackson, La. It is currently being manufactured in post-production. Screen Media’s Creative Executive, Conor McAdam, serves as co-producer.

“Just as excited as we are, we know fans will be even more excited (and chilled) to return to the world of the Creeper, now with a very terrifying vision from director Timo Vuorensola, which is the perfect fit for this franchise again, ”Screen Media said in a statement.

The trade was negotiated with Seal by Needle for Screen Media on behalf of the production.

Jamie R. Thompson, Terry Bird, David Nagelberg, Danny Zamost, Michael Musante, Lee Broda, Matthew Kurtain, Karey Kurtain, Alastair Burlingham, Gary Raskin, Elizabeth Primm, Suraj Gohil, Mark Mariani, Janelle Mariani also serve as executive producers. Galen Rasmussen and Shannon Chandler.

Screen Media’s recent acquisitions include the comedies “Senior Moment” and “Off the Rails”, as well as the Nicolas Cage film “Willy’s Wonderland” and Rod Lurie’s “The Outpost”.
