JCE plantea modify Ley del Registro Civil que data van 1944

The Central Electoral Junta, chaired by its President Román Jáquez, deposited in the Legislative Chambers its proposed amendment to the Law 659-44, on the Act of the Civil Status, of 17 July 1944.

Santo Domingo, RD The initiative comes as a proposal to update this law and adapt it to the new reality that the Civil Registry lives in the country and, above all, guarantees that citizens will have greater access to the services they offer, guaranteeing greater security Jurisdiction of all documents that are processed in the civil registry.

The necessary JCE adapts to the regime the places that contain the lei, in order to eliminate the subregisters in the country.

The project is based on the assessment that it has with the Civil Register of Articles 55 and 56 of the Constitution on the right of families and nieces and nephews and adolescents.

The JCE explains that in its proposal has taken into account a set of laws that occur in the sphere of the Civil Register, such as 136-03, which establishes the protection system for the nines, nines and adolescents, the 01-1 2sobre strategy nacional de desarrollo, la 29-11, Orgánica del Tribunal Superior Electoral, y la 15-19, Orgánica del Régimen Electoral, asi as well as the main resolutions and regulations that the JCE dictated regarding the civil register.
