JBL preps SA750 super integrated w / Dirac Live

Would Sir provide an integrated teak veneer amplifier that would fit with its JBL L100 Classic 75 speakers? The SA750 super-integrated, announced today by JBL, has an aluminum front panel and a thick control panel like the iconic speaker.

The SA750 makes a nod to (also Harman-owned) Arcam to lay down a Class G gain base for 120wpc in 8 Ohm and 220wpc in 4 Ohm. Class G means that the amplifier handles low-level signals in Class A, but calls up an additional power source when the music becomes insignificant.

On top of the amplifier section is an MM / MC phono stage and a hi-res / MQA-compatible DAC that can be powered by 2 x TOSLINK, 2 x coaxial, USB for removable media or the internal Ethernet / Wifi network streamer that supports UPnP and Roon. USB for third-party streamers? Spotify Connect? Gety Connect? JBL does not say.

A second nod from the Arcam playbook is the presence of Dirac Live room calibration that allows users to customize the speaker output to better match the acoustics of their room.

The SA750’s feature set is rounded off by an orange ‘orange’ front panel screen with 2 lines, auxiliary input of 3.5 mm and headphone output of 3.5 mm.

O – analog outputs apparently count 6 x single RCA pairs, but the single version image (above) showing only the front panel indicates that the SA750 has not yet been finalized and that more information about the details of its feature set will come closer to the predicted delivery date of May 2021. Price? US $ 3000.
