Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., Announced early Tuesday on Twitter that COVID-19 had been diagnosed with her, and excited several Republicans who were locked up with her during the riot at the Capitol, who were not wearing masks.
Jayapal said she was “locked in a secure room at the Capitol where several Republicans not only brutally refused to wear a mask, but also recklessly mocked colleagues and staff who offered them one.”

Her office has issued a statement saying that some members and staff by dr. Brian Monahan, the attending physician of the U.S. Congress, was informed that those secured in that particular room were exposed to another resident with a ‘coronavirus infection’. She said they were in the room for “several hours”.
She said there were more than 100 people in the room and believed it was a ‘super-distributor event’.

The Capitol riot resulted in five deaths and at least 120 arrests. Democrats in the House want Trump removed from office and call him a danger. Trump supporters also condemned the violence, but insisted that Trump did not incite the opportunity.
