Janet Jackson jumped on Twitter to thank her fans for making one of her albums back on the charts after more than three decades.
Her album, “Control”, recently reached number one on Apple’s top 40 American pop album. The recording of the album took place shortly after the 35th anniversary on February 4th.

“I was home alone the other day and started crying,” Jackson, 54, told her fans in the video she tweeted Saturday. “I cried because I was so grateful for all that God has blessed me with. Everything He has given me. ‘

Jackson’s 35-year-old album was the third studio album she’s created in her career. She was then 19 years old.
The album features five top songs, including ‘Control’, ‘What Have You Done for Me Lately’, ‘Nasty’, ‘The Pleasure Principle’ and ‘When I Think of You.’
It last reached the top of the Billboard Top R & B / Hip-Hop Albums list on February 19, 1986 and remained on the map for 91 weeks.

Jackson’s compassionate response to her fans was especially a day after Justin Timberlake apologized to Jackson for not defending her after the infamous wardrobe error that occurred during their 2004 Super Bowl performance.
