Directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, the 25th installment in the iconic espionage franchise, gives Daniel Craig the title role. MGM, Eon Productions and Universal are behind the tent pole.
Early in 2020, No time to die became the first Hollywood tent pole to fall victim to the COVID-19 crisis when the original April 2020 release date was moved back to November 2020 (thereafter to April 2021).
The film – with the final twist of Daniel Craig as 007 – also stars Bond returnees Lea Seydoux, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Ralph Fiennes and Christoph Waltz, alongside franchise newcomers Rami Malek, Ana de Armas and Lashana Lynch. Billie Eilish recorded the title track.
MGM handles No time to die domestically via United Artists Releasing, while Universal has international distribution obligations.
These are also partners on the Addams Family prosecuted, which would open on October 8, and it is now scheduled for October 1.
Universal has made several other changes to its calendar separately, including reprinting Nobody from February 26 to April 2021, and the title of Edgar Wright’s focus function Last night in Soho from 23 April to 22 October.
The studio has also announced the first release date for the thriller directed by Michael Bay Ambulance, which was instituted on 18 February 2022.
