Conor McGregor had a tough night on Saturday and no one may have enjoyed it more than one Jake Paul.
Paul was the first in a row to mock McGregor after losing the MMA star to Dustin Poirier at UFC 257 on Saturday night, which no one needs to be so surprised. The YouTuber / aspirant boxer is relentlessly defying McGregor to fight the Irishman for more than a month. – He even offers $ 50 million to compete against each other.
Now, after McGregor’s crushing loss on Saturday in Abu Dhabi, Paul has apparently decided to renegotiate the terms of his offer. In a video posted on Instagram, Paul briefly stopped laughing at McGregor to let him know that he was now only offering $ 10,000 for the fight.
I’m not sure McGregor’s value made so much of this hit on Saturday, but Paul certainly would not pass up the chance to take a disrespectful victory after McGregor’s defeat.
McGregor called Paul “a confused little kid” earlier this week in response to repeated mockery, so it should be interesting to see how he responds to this latest mockery. If Paul is really if he wants a fight with McGregor (perhaps as a follow-up to his brother’s potential fight against Floyd Mayweather), the $ 10,000 offer is not taken seriously.
Paul is clearly thirsty to climb on McGregor’s radar and get a fight in an effort to elevate and legitimize his own boxing career. The 24-year-old Nate Robinson, the former NBA star, recently delivered a brutal second KO series to professionally improve to 2-0.
