Jake Paul knocks out UFC fighter Ben Askren in the first round of the Thriller Fight Club event

Jake Paul’s boxing career took another giant leap forward on Saturday night.

The YouTube star knocked out UFC fighter Ben Askren in the first round in less than two minutes during the pay-per-view event of the Triller Fight Club at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

Paul put a big right hook on Askren, who eventually got on his feet, but referee Brian Stutts decided to end the fight because he believed Askren was unable to continue. The fight was stopped at 1:59.

Paul dedicated the victory to his security guard Shadow, who died ten days before the battle.

“I deserved it -” Paul said after the fight. “This is the craziest moment of my life. I told everyone I was going to do it in the first round. I said I was a real fighter. I do not know how many times I have to prove to myself that it really is. . ‘
