MLB The Show not only honors Robinson’s legacy by putting him on the cover of the game. PlayStation is also donating $ 1 to the Jackie Robinson Foundation for every MLB The Show 21 Collector’s Edition sold in the US by the end of the year.
You can pre-order the Jackie Robinson Edition of MLB The Show 21 now, as well as the regular version of the game, featuring the Padres phenomenon Fernando Tatis Jr. on the cover.
Pre-orders for the Jackie Robinson Edition include four days’ early access to the game, which begins on April 16 – the day after MLB’s annual Jackie Robinson Day celebration.

With donations from MLB The Show 21 Collector’s Editions, the Jackie Robinson Foundation – created by Robinson’s wife in 1973 – will establish the JRF MLB The Show Scholars program in collaboration with PlayStation.
Scholars in the JRF MLB The Show Scholars program receives four-year scholarships and support services such as career guidance and internships. More information about the Jackie Robinson Foundation programs is available here, and more information about applying for a JRF MLB The Show Scholar will be announced in November.
MLB The Show’s announcement of the Jackie Robinson edition of the game Wednesday comes three days after Robinson’s birthday – he would have been 102 years old on January 31 – and while the US is celebrating Black History Month.
