Ivanka Trump, former president Donald Trump’s eldest daughter, broke her months-long silence on Twitter to post photos Wednesday of her getting COVID-19 vaccination.

“Today I got the chance! I hope you will too!” Trump tweeted. “Thank you Nurse Torres !!!”

Trump, who has not tweeted for almost three months, is the first member of her immediate family to announce her vaccination. The former president and first lady did not tell the public that they had been vaccinated. The news that they were vaccinated privately in January first post by The New York Times in March.

Trump’s enthusiastic message about the COVID-19 vaccine is potentially important because Republican voters and Trump loyalists are reluctant or unwilling to vaccinate.

About 25% of Trump voters told Frank Luntz that they would “definitely not” be vaccinated and another 21% said they would wait more than a year to get the chance. Younger Republican women, those living in rural areas, and those who do not have a college degree are particularly concerned about vaccination.
