Ivanka Trump broke her nearly three-month social silence to post a photo of her getting a COVID-19 vaccine.
“Today I got the chance !!! I hope you will do the same! The 39-year-old former first daughter wrote with photos on Wednesday how she was stabbed in her left arm while wearing a white T-shirt, jeans and a mask.
“Thank you nurse Torres !!! 💙 ”she wrote in her first post on Instagram and Twitter since her father left the White House.
Ivanka got the Pfizer vaccine in Miami, Florida, where she and her family moved after leaving Washington, DC. Anyone 16 years and older can be vaccinated in the Sunshine State.
The vaccine was offered along with other White House staff when she worked as a senior adviser to her father’s administration, but chose to wait, two sources told the Associated Press.
Ivanka told the wire service that “vaccination is our best way to defeat this virus and protect ourselves and others.”
However, her decision quickly began to collapse among many of her followers – with a flood of remarks by anti-vaxxers who were terrified that she would get the chance and also wanted to encourage others. Some have even claimed that the pandemic is a hoax.

Others suggested that the photos be taken in a way to hide the injection site, only to make it look like she was stuck.
