ITV reports that no one from the royal family will be in military uniform for Prince Philip’s funeral

The Daily Mail reported earlier this week that Prince Andrew, along with other members of the royal family, had to put on a military uniform at Prince Philip’s funeral on Saturday. This is the kind of information that could only come from inside the palace – and as we know, for whatever reason, the assistants of the palace are still leaking to a tabloid newspaper which, well, is not exactly the journalistic standard . Obviously, the fact that Admiral Andy, who was friends with the late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, can still make ‘claims’ is a joke in itself. But then there is the matter that he retained his titles at all, despite the fact that he withdrew from public duty.

Apparently a decision has now been made – no one will be in military uniform on Saturday. According to Chris Shipp of ITV:

‘If Prince Andrew had been allowed to wear his military uniform, it would have left Prince Harry as the only senior man at the funeral party in his civilian clothes. This would have raised awkward questions as the Duke of Sussex is a veteran of the British Army who has actively served on two tours through Afghanistan. ”

There are other outlets that report on the clothing, but the reason I quote ITV is because it is the most accurate. What is exact is that Prince Andrew is the one who ‘demanded’ to be in uniform; Prince Harry did not try to show up in uniform, despite the British tabloids suggesting otherwise. The British tabloids no longer have legal sources on the Sussex side; it is they who are being sued by the Sussex. Furthermore, after the situation with the wreath during Remembrance Services in November last year, when Harry’s request to have one dismissed on his behalf was rejected, he would not have come into this with any expectation of any “claims”. to be able to set. Describing the decision as a way to spare Harry the embarrassment is really not the story. The British royal institution’s first priority is the monarchy. This is to protect the monarchy. And as Chris Shipp reports, as Admiral Andy with all his pervy scandals and associations out here with his chest pulled out in regalia and Harry, who has hosted two tours in Afghanistan and been a member of the armed services for a decade, is no … well … it puts the spotlight on the firm and their contradictions, no matter what arbitrary standards they apply, which may and may not dress in uniform. So this is to save the FIRM the embarrassment, not Harry. Because the questions have already been asked at the moment Admiral Andy makes his ‘claim’.

But also … again … why can this family not manage their communication? This story became news on the front page because somehow a leak came out to the Daily Mail about Andrew’s’ claim. And as I said above, it could have just come from within the firm. Each time, they get into trouble by telling themselves and giving stories to the tabloids that eventually cause more drama. So this is a different calculation from the media, from people who are believed to be one of the most sought after brands in the world. WHYYYYYYYYYY are they so bad at this?

In other royal news we now know the order of procession during the funeral. Here is the order … and it’s interesting:

Prince Charles and Princess Anne will walk together first.

Followed by Prince Andrew and Prince Edward.

Dan …

Harry, Peter Phillips and William.

In other words, William and Harry will not walk side by side in the procession on their way to the service. The brothers will be separated by Peter Phillips.

As for the procession at St George’s Chapel, here is the order following the Archbishop of Canterbury, the dean of Windsor and the coffin of Prince Philip, carried by the Royal Marines:

Prince Charles and Princess Anne

Prince Andrew and Prince Edward

Prince William and Peter Phillips

Prince Harry and the Earl of Snowdon

If I read it right, it means William and Harry will not be walking next to each other again.

Is it a coincidence, nothing to read into? Or … something else?
