‘It’s two!’: Alex Cora eliminated the Red Sox loss because he had a dirty ball

Alex Cora had this with the referees in this Minnesota Twins series, and he let them know after another controversial call.

Cora vehemently protested the call before being thrown out of the game, saying, “It’s two!” when he left the field. The complaint refers to another foul ball call that went on earlier in the series against the Red Sox.

This was the driver’s fourth career outing.

Andriese manages to hit Jeffers on the next sheet, with catcher Christian Vazquez pumping his fist as Jeffers waves and misses on a break ball.

The Red Sox climbed out of the innings without giving up a run, but lost the game 4-3 on a Max Kepler RBI single at the bottom of the ninth, breaking the team’s nine-win series.
