The Trump administration has blamed Iran for frequent rocket attacks on U.S. bases in Iraq, including near the U.S. embassy, although no group supported by Iran has claimed responsibility, Reuters reported.

According to Reuters, Israel did not immediately comment on Zarif’s accusations.
The tweet comes ahead of Sunday’s one-year anniversary of the assassination of US top Iranian General Qassem Soleimani by a drone in Iraq.
National security officials expressed concern that Iran may plan a retaliatory attack on the anniversary, which the US Army to fly two B-52H bombers Wednesday across the Persian Gulf in an effort to deter Iran.
The deployment was the third such mission in the region in the past 45 days.
A senior US military official told reporters before the flight that a recent US intelligence report indicated that Iran wanted revenge for the killings and “has potential for other more complex attacks” on Americans in Iraq Fox News reported.

This was followed on Friday by the Iranian commander, Esmail Ghaani, who said during a memorial service for Soleimani’s death that Iran was ready to retaliate for the strike against the general. Ghaani replaces Soleimani as the leader of the Quds force after the general died last year.
“According to Reuters, there will be someone from your own home who will repay you,” he told Tehran University during the event. “American calamity will not stop the Quds Force from continuing its path of resistance.”
Last month, the US confirmed that this was the case. temporary staff removed from his embassy in Baghdad before the anniversary of Soleimani’s death.
