If you are not plugged into all the details about your iPhone, you may not be aware of one very cool feature. Thanks to the good nerds of TikTok, many discover that there is one tool that is clearly visible: the Apple logo on the back of the phone. Yep, this is an instrument / sensor / button.
This ‘tok’, by Brit Brown, was posted in October 2020 and shows users how to program their apple to perform functions such as taking a screenshot, opening a specific app or locking your screen. It makes sense that the place will become sensitive (Apple products are becoming increasingly glassy and touch-based), but how have we not seen it before? We are literally on our phones all day long.
Check out the TikTok in full below. Did you know about this?
Remember, this is a double tap, so if your technically averse parent is struggling to get this hack to work, this may be the reason.
Brown seems to be demonstrating her manual on the iPhone 11, so it’s safe to say that this feature will work if you have the version of an iPhone or higher. When Apple launched the iPhone 7, we revealed nine hidden features on the device, and hopefully everyone can learn something new today. And if you have the latest iOS, you can not personalize the home screen (Remember when everyone did that a few months ago? Time does not exist in pandemic times.)
Unfortunately, none of the hacks here or on TikTok address the brilliantly obvious issue of adding a feature to the Apple logo: most people keep their phones in a box. And usually the case has the logo. If the company could now make a product that did not shatter into a million pieces when downloaded, that would be a feature we can use.
