Greek repair provider iRepair gave MacRumors a supposed photo of glass panels on the front of the iPhone 13 models, with the same three sizes of 5.4 inches, 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches as the iPhone 12 series. The notch on each iPhone is visibly smaller due to the refurbishment of the speaker in the upper case, a design choice that was rumored for iPhone 12 models for the first time last year, but which could not materialize.

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and several other sources have previously claimed that some Face ID components will be consolidated in the iPhone 13 models, resulting in a smaller notch, but they do not mention that the earpiece repositions does not become.

The design of the notch has remained unchanged since its debut on the iPhone X in 2017. After this year’s shrinkage, Kuo said that Apple plans to switch to a hole display design for at least 2022 iPhone models, similar to Samsung’s Galaxy S21. and other recent smartphones, followed by an iPhone with a real full-screen design without a notch or holes and a fingerprint scanner that will not be displayed, as early as 2023.

The iPhone 13 models are expected to be virtually identical to the iPhone 12 models, with the new features reportedly featuring a 120Hz screen on Pro models, larger batteries, a faster A15 chip and camera enhancements. Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 13 series in September, which will return to its usual launch period.
