Iowa reports 616 new COVID-19 cases and 6 additional deaths

EDITOR’S NOTE: The daily numbers we report do not match the numbers the state reports for each day. Every day at 10:00 we take the previous day’s numbers from 10:00 and subtract them from the current numbers at 10:00 from the state. Instead of reporting a day later, we want to give you the latest information. For Black Hawk and Linn Counties, we report numbers from their COVID-19 sites. For Johnson and Dubuque counties, we report numbers from the state’s website.

IOWA

(KWWL) – According to the state’s dashboard, there were 616 new, confirmed cases from 10:00 to Friday 10:00, bringing the state’s total number of cases to 356,461.

The state’s website says 337,573 of the 356,461 people who tested positive recovered. That’s 442 more recoveries than the state reported Friday.

The state reports 6 additional COVID-19 deaths, with a death toll of 5849.

If you subtract the number of repairs (337,573) and the number of deaths (5849) from the total number of cases (356,461), there are currently 13,399 active positive cases in the state.

As of Saturday morning, 47 patients have been hospitalized in Iowa in the past 24 hours and the total number of hospitalizations is 218, a decrease of 228 the previous day. Of these, 52 are in the ICU (versus 49), and 19 in fans (from 20).

In Iowa, 3,004 people were tested in the last 24 hours, and a total of 1,663,686 people were tested on COVID-19.

According to the state’s COVID-19 vaccine panel, 1727,957 total doses were administered to Iowa residents on Saturday morning and 733,783 individuals completed the series. BLACK HAWK LAND

From 10:00 on Saturday the Black Hawk COVID-19 Dashboard shows 50 new cases since Thursday 10:00, leaving a total of 16 522 cases. There were 32 additional repairs, leaving a total of 14,769. There were no additional deaths, leaving a total of 306 deaths. In Black Hawk County, 31,769 residents were completely vaccinated.

LINN COUNTY

From 10 a.m. Saturday, the Linn County COVID-19 Dashboard shows 12 new cases since 10:00 a.m. Thursday, leaving a total of 20,098 cases. There were 16 additional recoveries, leaving a total of 18,672 recoveries. There were no additional deaths, leaving a total of 338 deaths in the country. There are currently 3 patients in the country in the hospital. In Linn County, 53,172 residents were completely vaccinated.

JOHNSON COUNTY

According to the state dashboard Saturday at 10 a.m. There have been 30 new positive cases in Johnson County since 10 a.m. Friday. This brings the total to 13 826 reported cases. There are a total of 13,155 repairs, of which 8 were reported more than yesterday. No additional deaths were reported, leaving a total of 80. In Johnson County, 41,830 residents were completely vaccinated.

DUBUQUE-LAND

According to the state dashboard Saturday at 10 a.m., there have been 22 additional positive cases in Dubuque County since 10 a.m. Friday. This brings the total to 13 002 reported cases. Eight additional recoveries were reported, leaving a total of 12,298. No additional deaths were reported, leaving a total of 202. In Dubuque County, 26,576 residents were completely vaccinated.
