Iowa approaches 100,000 completed vaccinations, showing daily positivity rate of 17.7%

Every day at 10:00 we take the previous day’s numbers from 10:00 and subtract them from the state with the current numbers at 10:00. Instead of reporting a day later, we want to give you the latest information. For Black Hawk and Linn Counties, we report numbers from their COVID-19 sites. For Johnson and Dubuque counties, we report numbers from the state’s website.

IOWA

(KWWL) – There were 841 new, confirmed cases from Tuesday 10:00 to Wednesday 10:00. according to the state’s dashboard, bringing the state’s total number of cases to 327,255.

The state’s website states that of the 327,255 people who tested positive, 299,122 recovered. That is 1,304 more recoveries than the state reported Monday.

The state’s death toll is 5,196, which is 22 more reported than yesterday.

Subtracting the number of repairs (299,122) and the number of deaths (5,196) from the total number of cases (327,255) shows that there are currently 22,937 active positive cases in the state.

As of Wednesday morning, there have been 64 patients hospitalized in Iowa in the past 24 hours and the total number of hospitalizations is 273, down 292 the previous day. Of these, 64 are in the ICU (down from 67) and 26 on fans (down from 27).

In Iowa, 4,725 new tests were taken in the last 24 hours, and a total of 1,505,505 people were tested on COVID-19. The positivity rate of the last 24 hours (841 positive tests divided by 4,725 tests given) is 17.7 percent.

According to the state’s COVID-19 vaccine panel, 366,109 total doses were administered to Iowa residents and 99,978 individuals completed the series. As of Wednesday, 3,062 residents of Black Hawk County, 7,098 residents of Linn County, 9,302 residents of Johnson County and 5,699 residents of Dubuque County completed the series of vaccinations. BLACK HAWK LAND

From 10:00 Thursday is the Black Hawk COVID-19 Dashboard shows 37 new cases since Wednesday at 10:00, leaving a total of 15,591 cases (14,635 PCR and antigen-positive cases and 956 Serology-positive cases). There were 35 additional repairs, leaving a total of 13,432. There was another death, leaving a total of 271 deaths. The average positivity rate of 14 days for the country is 6.7 percent.

LINN COUNTY

From 10:00 Thursday is the Linn County COVID-19 Dashboard shows 37 new cases since Wednesday 10:00, leaving a total of 19 007 cases. There were 54 additional recoveries, leaving a total of 16,759 recoveries. There were no additional deaths, leaving a total of 312 deaths in the country. There are 23 patients currently admitted to the country. The average positivity rate of 14 days for the country is 8 percent.

JOHNSON COUNTY

According to the state dashboard at 10 a.m. Thursday, there have been 17 new positive cases in Johnson County since 10 a.m. Wednesday. This brings the total to 12,755 reported cases. There are a total of 11,818 repairs, of which 46 more were reported than yesterday. There was another death, with a total of 67 deaths. The average positivity rate of 14 days for the country is 7 percent.

DUBUQUE-LAND

According to the state dashboard On Thursday at 10 a.m., there have been 25 additional positive cases reported in Dubuque County since 10 a.m. Wednesday. This brings the total to 12,063 reported cases. 30 additional recoveries were reported, leaving a total of 11,091. No additional deaths were reported, leaving a total of 186. The average positivity rate of 14 days for the country is 7 percent.
