iOS 15 is expected to be announced at Apple’s annual WWDC development summit, which will definitely have an online keyword for us. As is tradition, we are sure that most new features of iOS will have to be demonstrated on stage, but the most intriguing will probably be unraveled once the first developer beta of iOS 15 arrives. It usually does not take very long and is available for download immediately after the respective main reason; we do not think it will be any different with iOS 15.
iOS 15: More defaults to apps
This is what iPhones are likely to get in iOS 15:
iOS 15: supported devices
iOS 15: Privacy
The latest iOS 14.5 beta has further enhanced the privacy of iOS by automatically guiding secure browsing data through Apple’s own servers and acting as a sort of VPN, protecting you from the prying eyes of the advertising monstrosities that go after your data search. Apparently, we can expect similar privacy features to be part of iOS 15 as well.
iOS 15: Release Date
This year’s WWDC Developer Summit is likely to be an online event taking place sometime in June, which is apparently Apple’s favorite month for software announcements. Aside from the release of a beta, this early unveiling of iOS also provides enough space for app developers to prepare their apps for the upcoming changes and quickly stay up to date with all the new features.
As far as the release of the official version of iOS 15 is concerned, it will undoubtedly take place along with the release of the iPhone 13 (iPhone 12S) series. Traditionally, iPhones will be released in late September / early October, so expect the next version of iOS.
