Internet recovery after spectrum outage

PORTLAND – Spectrum services have been restored in the north of New England after an internet outage affected a large part of the state on Monday night.

Spectrum has identified two separate fiber breaks in its network, affecting video, telephone and Internet services for customers in Maine and New Hampshire, a spokeswoman for News Center Maine said. The multiple, separate interruptions affected the backup services.

City council disruptions hit across the country as Portland and Rockland city councils canceled their meetings. Portland City Council resumed its meeting after April 12.
