Instagram said Wednesday that they have taken the account of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for giving away the false allegations about the COVID-19 vaccine.
“We have removed this account because we have repeatedly shared denials about the coronavirus or vaccines,” a spokesman said.
The prominent anti-vaxxer had 800,000 followers on the platform when his account was banned.
Recently, he falsely linked the death of legendary baseball player Hank Aaron to the COVID-19 shot, claiming there was a spate of suspicious deaths among elderly people who received the vaccine.
Kennedy’s Facebook page was still up as of Wednesday.
A Facebook spokesman, who owns Instagram, said the company does not automatically deactivate accounts in all its apps as users can post different things on different platforms.
