Netflix is releasing the plot summary and new footage for the Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness anime series, revealing a new story with Leon and Claire.
Netflix has unveiled the plot of the upcoming Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness anime series. The very first Resident Evil the animation program was announced in September 2020. Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield, two fans of the favorite character, and the stars of the most successful Resident Evil 2 games.
2021 is a very good year for Resident Evil fans. Capcom to be released in two months Resident Evil Village, the next major game in the franchise. Resident Evil Village much has been expected, which is not surprising. Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and the Resident Evil 2 remake were both incredible horror-survival experiences. Resident Evil Village will introduce some new enemies, including werewolf-like creatures and a giant vampire woman. In addition to the game, the next Hollywood production will be released this year. Unlike previous live-action films, the Resident Evil reboot seems to be faithfully adapting the source material with the big characters from the first two games. Of course, there is also the animated series that will appear on Netflix later this year. Like the CGI movies, Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness will be canon for the games.

Netflix has a full summary and new images, including a poster for Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness. The voice actors for Leon and Claire were also revealed. Leon is voiced by Nick Apostolides, and Claire is voiced by Stephanie Panisello, their voice actors from the Resident Evil 2 remake. Check out the summary and images below.
“In 2006, there were traces of improper access to secret presidential files in the White House network. U.S. Federal Agent Leon S. Kennedy is among the group invited to the White House to investigate this incident, but then the lights suddenly go out. Leon and the SWAT team are forced to take down a horde of mysterious zombies, meanwhile, TerraSave staff member Claire Redfield encounters a mysterious image drawn by a youth in a country she visited while supporting refugees. Haunted by this drawing, which appears to be a victim of viral infection, Claire begins her own investigation, the next morning Claire visits the White House to request the construction of a welfare facility, where she has a chance to meet Leon and take the opportunity to show him the boy’s drawing. Leon seems to realize some sort of connection between the zombie outbreak in the White House and the strange drawing, but he tells Claire that there is no bandage and leaves. These two zombie outbreaks in distant lands lead to events that shake the nation to its core. ‘
It looks like Leon and Claire will meet again by chance. In the first CGI movie, Resident Evil: Degeneration, the two characters arrived at the same airport by chance. It will be interesting to see how the plot unfolds Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness. Apart from the Resident Evil 2 remake, this will be the first time Leon has appeared on screen since Resident Evil: Vendetta, and the first screen appearance for Claire since Resident Evil: Revelation 2, so fans of both characters have enough to look forward to.
Although the Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness Synopsis offers a lot of details, it also creates a mystery with the photo that Claire investigates. It is reasonable to expect an exciting series with the usual Resident Evil zombie action. It would be good for longtime fans to see if there are any references or feedback to the games. Although not confirmed for this year, Netflix is also developing a live action Resident Evil series that follows Wesker’s children. Verily, Resident Evil is about to enjoy quality releases across different mediums.
