Industry analysts remain confident that we will see a Switch Pro this year

GamesIndustry.biz is back with its annual forecasts for the year, and it looks like industry experts think it’s going to be a big year for Nintendo.

Matt Piscatella of NPD, Dr Serkan Toto of Kantan Games and Piers Harding-Rolls of Ampere Analysis all predicted that the Switch family would be the best-selling console of 2021, and although Piscatella was not convinced that Nintendo would release a new model , the latter two do not agree.

At the request of his first forecast in 2021, Dr. Toto launches the Switch Pro. “I predict that a built-in 4K device will arrive during Nintendo’s next financial year,” he says in the interview with GI.biz. Last year, dr. However, Toto predicts a “spectacular game from Nintendo from Nintendo” – a prediction that he said was false (no love for Pokémon Café Mix, dan). He adds that “Switch is just a word”, but we are not completely sure what that means. It’s actually a little ominous.

Harding-Rolls is a little more reticent when it comes to Nintendo’s next step. Last year, he said the launch of the Switch Pro in 2020 was ‘unlikely’ – and he was right. Now he says the Switch Pro would ‘make commercial sense’ and that he currently has it in his 2021 forecasts.

We know nothing, of course, but after many years of Switch Pro rumors, we are understandably cautious, even as the new predictions come from people being paid to do these things.

Could 2021 finally be the year of 4K Nintendo games? Would you upgrade to a Switch Pro if you had the choice? Discuss in the comments below!
