(CNN) –There are currently 77 positive cases of the new Indian covid-19 variant in the United Kingdom, according to the latest figures from Public Health England (PHE).
There are 73 cases in England and four in Scotland of the double mutation variant, given to CNN by PHE. The B.1.617 variant was first detected in India.
The Ministry of Health of India has said that such mutations increase the risk of infection and help to escape the immune system.
The variant has been designed as Variant bajo investigation (VUI) by PHE. There will be a large network of contacts and tomarán all the appropriate media, aggregate.
Currently, the United Kingdom variant (B.1.1.7) is the dominant country in the country with 209,492 confirmed cases. Without embargo, the percentage of people who are positive in the country is diminishing, given the results of the National Statistics Office.
