Pokémon GO is about to complete its Hoenn Celebration Event before heading to the Johto Celebration Event next week. However, this is not the only Pokémon Go connection that takes place this weekend, as Niantic still likes one of what they call an Incense Day. This is not just focused on one Pokémon, though this one is definitely built around a certain one. That Pokémon this time is Mareep to coincide with the release of Mega Ampharos during raids last week and has led to this Incense Day being focused on both Pokémon of the Electric and of the Dragon type.

Which electric and dragon Pokémon spawn when?

The Pokémon GO Electric and Dragon Incense Day will be held on Sunday, January 24 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Unlike a community day where the same Pokémon will spawn all day, the Incense Day is set up more like we saw this summer with GO Fest switching Pokémon every few hours. Unlike community day, is that you have to use incense to spawn this Pokémon, because just walking around will not see this.

For starters, Mareep will be available all day due to the launch of Mega Ampharos. Not only that, but the previously exclusive move on Community Day, Dragon Pulse, will be available if you develop Mareep’s next form Flaffy in Ampharos during this period. Besides Mareep, there will be 13 other Pokémon that will appear if you use an Incense, but depending on the next hour’s exposition.

As you can see, there are fewer hours for Dragon-type Pokémon, so this is something you need to be careful not to miss. For those who want to complete the Hoenn Collection Challenge, this is going to be the best way to get Plusle, Minun and Bagon. In addition, every Pokémon except Stunfisk and Vibrava currently has a shiny shape in Pokémon GO, so keep an eye out as well. During the Incense Day, the store will also have a coin case containing three Incense, which you will definitely want to utilize during this event.
