Penn NYC, the most competitive train station in the Occidental Hemisphere, was the victim of a year of deterrence and abandonment. But in the wake of the problematic 2020, we can finally show a car renovated in some of its areas.
The interior of the new Penn Station train station, integrated with the historic Edley Farley Officers’ Office at 8 a.m., in front of Madison Square Garden, was unveiled during a Wednesday inauguration ceremony and will be open to the public this year.
“Moynihan Treinsaal” account with an area of hope with a radius of 255 miles squared and 92 heights. Tras an inversion of $ 1.6 million million dollars will serve as a center for Amtrak and Long Island Rail Road (LIRR), Along with 700 miles of commercial and business space squares, the authorities are detailed.
Inside, the passengers have access to the huge open-air hall, with mechanical escalation connections to the platforms of the classic 7ma Avenida zone, which is being remodeled.
The new great atmosphere with “sky tech” offers a contrasting market with the cavernous subterranean tunnels with light that Governor Andrew Cuomo compared a vein with Dante’s “Infierno”.
“We will build it as a declaration of some women and women who we believe and aspire to be,” Cuomo said as he opened the salon of the fairies. “It’s audacious, yes, because it’s the spirit of New York and it’s the statement we want to make to our visitors, to our children and the future generations ”.
In addition to its tragedy, the Moynihan Hall features installations by artists Kehinde Wiley, Stan Douglas and Elmgreen & Dragset. “Wiley’s piece is a trio of images that showcase breakdancing on a blue sky background, while the artistic duo Elmgreen & Dragset contributed a model of a race to the tech world”, beskrywing New York Post.
Penn Station was rebuilt in the 1960s after the famous defamation of its predecessor Beaux-Arts. The new space is the number of senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan, who in the 1990s came up with the idea of re-establishing the corridor office for public transport.
In anticipation of the pandemic, Penn Station is waiting for a 600-mile workday train, según The New York Times.
“We have been working on the transformation of Penn Station for decades, but now we can do something about it, because last year we announced a plan for address the obsolete, inefficient and potentially difficult conditions of the station ”, dijo el gobernador Cuomo en 2019.
