Image on Xbox shows that Apex Legends will host a crossover event with Mass Effect

A GameSpot reader shared a picture of Apex Legends earlier today online, alluding to a crossover event featuring Mass effect soon after the battle royal.

The image shows the “N7” weapon charm, which is listed as a Game Pass benefit on the Xbox Series X’s dashboard. Since it’s listed in this category, it’s probably not a reward for completing a mission or an in-store purchase, but a gift for EA Play subscribers.

This image is not the first hint for a cross between both games. In November 2020, several weapons enchant Mass effect and Plants vs zombies themes was leaked online by computer amateurs, although the N27 was not one of them. According to the leak, these would be rewards for purchasing a subscription on EA Play.

EA Games is the publisher of both Apex and the Mass effect franchise, so a crossover and rewards linked to EA Play subscription would make sense.

The crossover rewards may be enabled Apex around the release date of Mass Effect: Legendary Edition on May 14, which will review the three core games of the franchise.

It’s not space, but there are still plenty of cosmetics for Apex players at the moment. The Chaos Theory Collection event was launched a few days ago and runs until March 23rd. It features new exclusive epic and legendary cosmetics, a new heirloom for Bangalore and new areas with a biting theme in Kings’ Canyon.

The ranking split is also nearing its end, which will also end on March 23. Finally, portable players can use the Apex port on the Nintendo Switch, which launched on March 9th.
