I, along with millions of others, have sought joy to see the first people in the world receive their first COVID-19 vaccinations. This monumental event is on the same level as the other most amazing events in history, such as the discovery of penicillin, or the first steps on the moon. Why on earth, after all the grief that this despicable virus has caused, would anyone not want this tremendous vaccine? I’m amazing. As a doctor, I am therefore writing this to correct the record of the COVID vaccine. Read on – and do not miss it to ensure your health and the health of others Sure signs that you already have a Coronavirus.

According to a recent poll, only about half of Americans want to be vaccinated, about a quarter remain insecure and plan to refuse last term. How can anyone say no to this vaccine – our golden ticket? Vaccinations are currently being used around the world to protect against 19 different viruses. Every year, these vaccinations save 2-3 million lives. Vaccinations are a phenomenal success for public health. The new COVID-19 vaccine is now number 20 on the list.

If enough of the population takes a vaccination, it is possible to eradicate an infection completely. Although complete eradication is never achieved, a virus can be eliminated to such an extent that cases of viral infection become rare. For the extinction or elimination, large numbers of the population must be vaccinated.

For you as an individual, the purpose of the vaccine is to prevent you from becoming infected. If you do become infected, it is likely that the infection will be less severe and less long-lasting. Vaccinations prevent you from becoming seriously ill and can save your life.

Vaccinations have wider general health benefits for the country. Worldwide, vaccinations lead to thousands of millions of dollars in health savings. It also leads to a lower prescription of antibiotics, which in turn reduces the resistance to antibiotics.

In one US study of older people, those who had the flu vaccine, for example, had a 20% reduction in cardiovascular risk (strokes and heart attacks), and a 50% reduced chance of dying from these events, than those who did it. do not have the vaccine. The following are true statements about vaccines:
Immunizations:
- Allow us to undertake safe international travel
- Protect infants and young children from common infections in children
- Protect and support primary care health services
- Empower women to plan their families, continue their education and maintain their options in the workplace
- Reduce the threat of bioterrorism
- Correct health differences between different communities
- Help maintain peace and prosperity
…According to WHO. Who can not be impressed by the many benefits of vaccination?

A 2015 publication in the magazine Vaccination checked the medical evidence on the vaccine safety. The authors described the rigorous testing and safety procedures used in the development of vaccines and stated that vaccines are one of the safest medicines in clinical use.
Vaccines have a very sophisticated negative reporting system. Often when an adverse outcome is reported over a vaccine, it is not actually something caused by the vaccine. For example, the flu vaccine contains dead flu viruses and cannot give you flu. If you fall ill with the flu within a few days of being vaccinated, chances are you will be infected with the flu a few days before you are vaccinated.
Anyone can be allergic to anything, and it’s serious, because if you’re unlucky enough to experience acute anaphylaxis, it’s life threatening. However, the risk of anaphylaxis with vaccinations in general is low and rarely fatal because anaphylaxis is treatable.
There were two cases of anaphylactoid reaction on the first day of the COVID-19 UK vaccination program, both of which were treated and fully recovered.
The British regulatory agency, the MHRA, said anyone suffering from immediate anaphylaxis – usually requiring them to carry an EpiPen – should not have the Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine until further information is available.
The vaccine is not grown in hen eggs and is latex free. This may be due to the risk of an anaphylactoid reaction due to the small amount of polyethylene glycol (PEG) in the vaccine. PEG is a common ingredient in cosmetic products and has not yet been associated with significant safety issues.
The Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine trials did not include people with severe anaphylaxis, as usual, in their clinical trials. From the trial data possible allergic reactions was 0.63% of those vaccinated, and 0.51% of those who received a placebo. Experts said it is a very low risk for vaccine-related allergy. New medicines are always closely monitored and the monitoring system works well.

Live attenuated vaccines are vaccines that contain living organisms that have adapted, and they do not cause infection if you have a healthy immune system. However, people with a strong weakened immune system should not use it as it can cause diseases.
The COVID-19 vaccines are not live attenuated vaccines, so they could possibly be used in people with an immune system. What is not known is how good the antibody response will be in these patients. Further advice is awaited.

GBS is an autoimmune condition caused by a bacterial or a viral infection, leading to nerve damage.
It is uncertain from medical studies whether vaccination can increase the risk of GBS. In a 2009 study, those who received the H1N1 vaccine had a lower rate of BGBS than those who did not. In other studies, deaths in people with GBS are not associated with the use of specific vaccinations.

Around 3% some of the population are afraid of needles and may collapse due to fainting if they undergo a blood test or injection. Associated head injuries were reported. The healthcare professional will ensure that you are safe when you are vaccinated. After the injection, a period of 15 minutes is observed.

There are a number of incorrect facts about the COVID vaccine. Take a look at the following statements and rest assured that they are true:
- The COVID vaccine will not alter your DNA
- The COVID vaccine does not contain dead fetal material
- The COVID vaccine does not contain heavy metals
- The COVID vaccine does not contain a microchip
- Vaccinations are not a cause of autism
- Just because the vaccine was manufactured in record time does not mean it is safe
If you want more information on all these points, see this extremely eloquent post from Chris York by The Huffington Post.

You think maybe, if everyone else has a vaccination, I do not have to worry about it. But keep going – this is not correct. To begin with, some of the population may not have the vaccine for medical reasons, for example people who have severe allergies or who are immunocompromised. By not having the vaccine, you will inevitably encourage others to follow this example as well. To protect the population, we need to create herd immunity, which means that large numbers of people need to be vaccinated.
Herd immunity means that so many people in the population have antibodies against the virus, that it can go nowhere. If you have such a high level of immunity in the population, it can prevent the virus from spreading from person to person. This will only happen if enough people are immune. For herd immunity to COVID, 80-90% people need to take the vaccine.

COVID-19 is not an infection to deal with.
“Since December 2019,” writes virologist Andrew Stanley Pekosz, Ph.D.“COVID-19 has killed more people in the U.S. than flu in the past five years.” One of the reasons, he further says, is that none of us have an immunity to COVID-19, while we have probably already encountered the flu virus. COVID causes much worse diseases than flu and has a higher mortality rate in all age groups except in children younger than 12 years.
COVID infection is especially risky for older adults and those who are immune-deficient, or have other disease conditions such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes and obesity.
COVID has specific effects on the body that differ from flu infection, for example it stimulates blood clotting mechanisms and increases the risk of thrombosis (blood clots). The mortality rate due to COVID is at least three times higher than the mortality rate due to flu. Those who survive severe COVID may have long-term symptoms, including chronic lung disease and heart and kidney disease – so-calledlank COVID. ‘
The best way to deal with COVID-19 – which has ruined our entire civilization – is to prevent it. How can we prevent this? – By having the COVID vaccine.

We are all human and people make mistakes. But the COVID vaccine is not a bug you can avoid.
After reading this message, you should be convinced that COVID-19 is a deadly infection and that the new COVID vaccine is safe and effective. Many of the rumors you have heard about the vaccination are completely untrue.
You need to take this vaccination to protect yourself, but also to help protect everyone you love. It’s not someone else’s responsibility – it’s yours.
If you want life to be normal again in the spring – or even in the summer – you have to roll up your sleeves. The COVID vaccine is really your golden ticket.
So follow the basics of public health and help end this upsurge no matter where you live – wear a face mask, social distance, avoid large crowds, do not go indoors with people you do not shelter with (especially in pubs), practice good hand hygiene, be vaccinated if it is available to you and around your life and the lives of others, do not visit one of this not 35 places you are likely to catch COVID.
