The total number of cases in Illinois now stands at 1,128,613, with a total of 19,259 deaths, since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the past 24 hours, laboratories reported 61,263 specimens for a total of 16,100,555.

As of Sunday night, it was reported that 2,387 patients in Illinois were in the hospital with COVID-19. Of these, 515 patients were in the ICU and 278 patients with COVID-19 were on ventilators.
The preliminary positive seven-day test positivity from January 25 to 31 is 4.9%.

The test positivity rate is a measure that the state started providing at the end of October. It is calculated by using the total number of positive tests above the total number of tests. This is the yardstick by which state health officials are accustomed to making decisions about mitigation.
A total of 1,333,475 doses of vaccine were delivered to suppliers in Illinois, including Chicago, with an additional 496,100 doses allocated to federal government partners for long-term care facilities, bringing the total number delivered in Illinois to 1,829,575.
IDPH reports that a total of 996,410 vaccine doses were administered, including 156,872 at long-term facilities. The seven-day average vaccines are 43,378.
The IDPH says that the distribution numbers of vaccines are reported in real time and that the number of vaccines lags by as much as 72 hours.
Suburban Cook County could see easy releases
Suburban Cook County is on track to drop COVID restrictions as soon as Tuesday.
Will and Kankakee Counties switched to Phase 4 on Monday, which means easing restrictions on restaurants, bars and other businesses.
According to the Phase 4 guidelines, indoor eating and drinking places are now allowed for parties of up to ten people. All tables should be 6 feet apart, but barriers can be installed to separate seats securely. Museums have a maximum capacity of 25 percent. Sitting art, cinemas and performing arts centers can also welcome up to 50 customers.
Jeff Bailey, manager of Town and Country Lanes in Joliet, said he looks forward to bringing in more customers, which will also increase sales.
“We are very excited about the future and optimistic about how things are going in the state,” Bailey said, adding that the family business has strict safety guidelines.
The Will County Department of Health wants to remind people that much more work needs to be done.

“It’s a good step,” Steve Brandy told the Will County Department of Health. “Everyone was tired of hearing levels 1, 2, 3, but let’s make sure we don’t have to hear it again.”
Seven of the 11 regions of the state are now in the facilitated phase four. If current numbers hold true, suburban Cook County could go into phase on Tuesday.
The deaths reported on Monday include:
-Christian County: 1 man 70’s
-Cook County: 1 man 40s, 2 men 50s, 2 men 60s, 1 woman 70s, 1 man 70s, 1 woman 80s, 2 men 80s, 3 men 90s
-Grundy County: 1 female 70s
-Putnam County: 1 60-year-old man
