When the PS5 and Xbox X Series launched last year, gamers have been blown away by their size. Comparing Sony’s console to household items has a social media trend, while CN Acter brought Dan Ackerman life size mockups at his local Ikea to see how it fits in different cabinets.
It seems that the Swedish furniture seller understood the challenges that people face with the next generation of consoles and, according to its Reddit user, created its own virtual console units so that you can see how it fits in different cabinets.
“Which Ikea media storage unit will fit my new, moderate, large game console?” read the copy on the side of the fake PS5.
It’s fun to mock Sony’s massive PS5, but these virtual consoles will be very useful if you choose cabinets. The PS5 in particular is so tall – just over 15 centimeters high – that you have to choose wisely.
Ikea did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
