Rep. Beth Van Duyne, who offered to work with President Biden on dual solutions, says the Democratic president has turned some Republicans off with a spate of executive orders reversing the former government’s policies.
“Looking at what he did on his first day, it did not have a good start,” Van Duyne, R-Texas, told Fox News.
She led a group of 17 GOP freshmen to send Biden a letter on Inauguration Day to help pass legislation on targeted coronavirus relief, protecting Americans with pre-existing health conditions, improving infrastructure and the recovery of the economy.

During Biden’s inauguration speech, he repeatedly spoke about unity and the importance of listening to and respecting differences of opinion. He promised to be a president for all Americans.
However, Biden kicked off his presidency with a series of executive orders aimed directly at President Trump’s signing policy on border security, energy production and climate change, which was popular under the IDP base.

She said Biden should work more closely with Republican lawmakers to prevent more harmful executive orders from being issued.
