GOP representative Marjorie Taylor Greene has removed Facebook posts from the past that support the conspiracy theories and showed support for the execution of Democrats, CNN reports.
Greene was convicted for baselessly claiming that mass shootings were ‘false flags’ to justify gun control. In October 2017, after a shooter shot at the participants in a Las Vegas music festival and killed 58 people, she suggested that gun control activists orchestrate the shooting incident to promote gun regulations.
“Hi, friends. I have a question for you. How do you get avid gun owners and people who support the Second Amendment to give up their weapons and cooperate with the anti-gun legislation?” Greene said in a video: “Are they trying to terrorize our mindset and change our minds about the Second Amendment?”
She later said the FBI was lying about the investigation, but has since walked away from the theory.
Some Democrats have called for the newly elected Congresswoman to be removed from Congress.
“Such an advocacy for extremism and sedition not only requires her to be expelled from Congress immediately, but it also deserves strong and clear condemnation from all her Republican colleagues,” Rep. Jimmy Gomez, a Democrat from California, said Wednesday.

Greene was also convicted after a video surfaced showing her harassing David Hogg, a survivor of the 2018 Parkland shooting. Greene was not elected to Congress at the time, and Hogg, then 17, was called a “coward” while on Capitol Hill. a few weeks after the shooting to plead for gun control.
On social media, Greene described Hogg as ‘#littleHitler’ and bought and paid for a small pawn. ‘
She also likes a comment on Facebook that reads that the shooting was staged at Sandy Hook Elementary School. The 2012 shooting killed 27 people, including 20 children.
Two parents of children who died in the shooting, Mark Barden and Nicole Hockley, issued a statement criticizing Greene’s appointment to the House Education and Labor Committee.
‘To have a Sandy Hook and Parkland denier on the House’s Education and Labor Committee is an attack on every family whose loved ones have been killed in mass shootings that have now become fodder for scammers … hateful conspiracy theories and proposals “that our children’s violent deaths have never occurred, have no place in our society, much less the US Congress,” the statement read.
“She dedicated herself to the Education Committee when she mocked the murder of small children at Sandy Hook Elementary School when she mocked the murder of teenagers in high school, to Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said. said. ‘What are they thinking about? Or think too broad a word for what they do? It’s absolutely horrible. ‘
CNN reported that they realized that the posts for 2018 and 2019 had been removed after seeing that some links stored by the network’s KFile team were no longer available. A Facebook spokesman told the store they did not remove the posts.
Greene’s office did not respond to a request for comment at the time of publication.
