“I thought he was going to kill me”

Armie Hammer’s first prosecutor, who was previously anonymous, came forward on Thursday,

The woman, with the first name Effie, was identified as a 24-year-old resident of Europe, and appeared at a news conference with her lawyer, Gloria Allred. She did not give up her surname, but she said she had a relationship with Hammer between 2016 and 2020 that was sometimes violent and insulting, after they met on Facebook. She claims that he “violently raped” her for four hours on April 24, 2017 in Los Angeles.

“I thought he was going to kill me,” Effie said.

She claims Hammer ‘repeatedly hit my head against a wall and bruised my face’ and prevented her from running away.

At the same time, the Los Angeles Police Department Information Officer confirmed to Yahoo Entertainment that Hammer has been the suspect in an ongoing sexual assault investigation since Feb. 3.

That was the month after a social media account, @houseofeffie, started posting screenshots of messages they claim Hammer sent to various women. They included references to cannibalism and violence, and it was posted because the women jointly decided it was time to talk, the account owner said.

Effie apparently did not reveal whether it was her.

Since the original accusations, other women have spoken out against Hammer. He has since left the Jennifer Lopez film Shotgun Wedding, in which he was co-starred, and Variety reported that his agency, WME, had abandoned him.

The star of The social network and Call me by your name denied the allegations.

‘His lawyer, Andrew Brettler, used Effie’s surname in his response to the latest development, but we diverted it because she said she did not want to use it.

‘[Effie’s] own correspondence with mr. Hammer undermines and refutes her outrageous allegations. Already on 18 July 2020, [Effie] has graphic texts to mr. Hammer sent to tell her what she wanted him to do to her. Mr. Hammer responds and makes it clear that he does not want to maintain that type of relationship with her. The screenshot below is just one of hundreds [Effie] to mr. Hammer sent. ”

Brettler included a screenshot of a text, which he said was one of the hundreds Effie sent to the actor, in which she introduced him. He also posted an image of comments she allegedly made on Instagram, in which she rejected the idea that the meeting was not unanimous.

“It was never Mr. Hammer’s intention to give an embarrassment or exposure [Effie’s] fetishes or kinky sexual desires, but she has now taken this matter to another level by hiring a civil lawyer to host a public press conference, ‘says Brettler. ‘With the truth on his side, Mr. Hammer the opportunity to set the record.

“From day one, Mr. Hammer maintained that all his interactions with [Effie] – and every other sexual partner of his in this regard – was unanimous in advance, discussed in advance and agreed and participated with each other. [Effie’s] attention-grabbing and untouched legal bidding will only make it harder for real victims of sexual violence to get the justice they deserve. ”

According to TMZ, Allred stated that Effie had provided evidence to the authorities but that she did not intend to file a case.
