Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is a worldwide top prize of 79.87 million in the west

Nintendo Switch sold 79.87 million units worldwide on December 31, 2020, Nintendo announced in its latest earnings.

A total of 11.57 million Switch hardware and 75.85 million software were sold during the three months ended December 31st.

Nintendo has changed its previously announced forecast that they will sell 24 million Switch units to 26.5 million units between April 2020 and March 2021.

Nintendo also shared updated sales numbers for its first-party Switch parties.

The top ten best-selling Switch titles for the first party are:

  1. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – 33.41 million
  2. Animal crossing: new horizons – 31.18 million
  3. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – 22.85 million
  4. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – 21.45 million
  5. Pokémon Sword / Pokémon shield – 20.35 million
  6. Super Mario Odyssey – 20.23 million
  7. Super Mario Party – 13.82 million
  8. Pokémon: Let’s go, Pikachu! / Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! – 13.00 million
  9. Splatoon 2 – 11.90 million
  10. New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe – 9.82 million

Nintendo has also announced additional sales numbers, including the first official numbers for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity and Mario Kart Live: Home:

  1. Luigi’s Mansion 3 – 9.13 million
  2. Ring Fit Adventure – 8.68 million
  3. Super Mario 3D All-Stars – 8.32 million
  4. Paper Mario: The Origami King – 3.05 million
  5. Clubhouse Games: 51 World Classics – 2.62 million
  6. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity – 2.84 million (excluding Japan)
  7. Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition – 1.48 million
  8. Mario Kart Live: Home – 1.08 million

More than 532.34 million Switch games have been sold worldwide.
