Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity had a strong launch in November. It became the best-selling Musou game of all time and was a very pleasant prelude to Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, begins just before the disaster.
It’s already been a pretty complete experience, but it looks like it’s not over yet. Age of Calamity has been confirmed in the latest Nintendo Direct and is getting an expansion card. Shortly after the launch, Nintendo announced this statement:
Expand your quest to save Hyrule with upcoming downloadable content, as two waves of DLC come to the Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Expansion Pass. Newly added characters, stages and more are all on the way, with the first wave taking place in June and the second taking place in November. Players who purchase this Expansion Pass on Nintendo eShop for £ 17.99 / € 19.99 will both get DLC waves when they are released. They also get an extra weapon and costume in the game for Link as a purchase bonus from 28de May. The Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity expansion card will go on sale shortly after launch.
This follows Breath of the Wild’s example, which also saw an Expansion Pass with two waves of DLC. We will only see this new content arrive in May, but you can now pre-order it via the Switch eShop.
