President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, begins his first TV interviews since his father’s office. In separate interviews with ‘CBS Sunday Morning’ and ‘CBS This Morning’, he answered questions about an investigation by the Department of Justice, or a computer that he said contained confidential information, his fight against drug abuse, his new memoirs and more .
Correspondent Tracy Smith’s interview with Hunter Biden will be broadcast on CBS Sunday and CBSN on “CBS Sunday Morning.” Anthony Mason, co-presenter of ‘CBS This Morning’, will be sitting with Biden, will be broadcast on Monday at 07:00 ET on CBS and 08:00 ET on CBSN.
In his interview with Mason, Biden described an emotional intervention his family offered to his father in Wilmington during the 2020 presidential campaign. After a tense confrontation, Biden storms out of the house, only to be chased through the driveway by the future president.
“I was trying to get to my car, and my girls literally blocked the door to my car and said, ‘Dad, Dad, please. You can not. No, no.’ It was the hardest part of the book to write, ‘he recalls.
Then his father embraced him.

Mason asked what he was thinking when he heard his father’s pleas.

Hunter Biden also discussed a report before the 2020 election in which it was alleged that a laptop he allegedly left behind in a repair shop in Delaware revealed Biden’s business transactions in Ukraine. For the interview on ‘CBS Sunday Morning’, he told Tracy Smith he did not know if it was his laptop, but that it could have been.
“There may be a laptop out there that was stolen from me. It could be that I was hacked. It could be that it was the – that it was Russian intelligence.”
